Help Our Eagles Make Turning Points in History:  National History Day National Competition, University of Maryland!

 Two General Ray Davis Middle School students have advanced to the National History Day competition in College Park, Maryland.  The competition will take place June 9th-13th. Students will represent the state of Georgia while presenting their projects, attending workshops, and networking with students from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and eight countries across the globe.  

 These students have set a goal to raise $2,000 to help offset travel costs (transportation, hotel, and lodging) to College Park, Maryland.  For more information, contact Matthew Cook, DMS Research Teacher, at mcook@rockdale.k12.ga.us. Thank you for your support.

More Turning Points in History:  Help a Heritage High School Student Get to the National History Day National Competition at the University of Maryland!

 We have some talented kids in RCPS!  Our student created a documentary about Apollo 13 that won the hearts of National History Day judges.  A 1st place finish has guaranteed this student a trip to the National History Day competition in College Park, Maryland.  We need your help to get him there!

 The competition will take place June 9th-13th. This competition includes students from all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and eight countries across the globe.  During the competition, our student will present his project, attend fund field trips, and network with other students.
